Los Angeles will commemorate the second annual California Adopt-a-Pet Day Saturday, joining more than 150 animal shelters across the state, by offering fee-waived adoptions.
The Department of Animal Services, also known as LAAS, will waive adoption fees for dogs and cats using a donation from the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. To find the nearest animal shelter, got laanimalservices.com/.
Waived adoption fees for dogs four months and older does not cover a $20 license fee for city residents.
