GARFIELD COUNTY, Colo. (KREX) — Earlier today, at approximately 3:50 p.m., a single rollover accident occurred in Douglass Pass north of Loma in Garfield County and near mile marker 33 on Highway 139.

The rollover accident caused the vehicle to fall into the embankment. The driver left the vehicle and was still down in the embankment.

The driver is reported to have minor injuries.

A medical helicopter from Glenwood Springs was called to assist. Travelers on Highway 139 are advised to avoid the area to prevent commute or travel delays.

The Lower Valley Fire District is responding to the accident and is working to recover the driver.

No further information is known at this time. The cause of the accident is currently being investigated.
