OMAHA, Neb. —

Gimmie the Scoop , located inside Huskerland Popcorn at 2305 N 90th St., offers over a dozen Italian ice flavors to the Omaha metro area.

“Our main ingredient in most of our Italian ice is fruit,” said owner Destiny Atkins. “Strawberry, black cherry, peach, pear, mango — I could go on forever. We offer about 14 different flavors, and we rotate through them.”

Gimmie the Scoop began after Destiny took a trip to California in 2021 and shared her idea of bringing Italian ice to Omaha with her grandmother.

“I was lying at the end of her bed, saying, ‘I have to do this.’ It’s new, and people would love it. I loved it; I fell in love with it. And she was like, ‘I’m going to invest in this.’ I sat up and said, ‘What?!’ and she replied, ‘I’m going to help you,’” said Atkins.
