TOLEDO, Ill. (WAND) - The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating an incident in which several tombstones were vandalized at the Toledo Cemetery.

The Sheriff's Office received a report on Wednesday morning from an individual who regularly visits the cemetery to tend to family plots, indicating that numerous tombstones had been knocked over.

Upon arrival, sheriff deputies discovered that approximately 51 tombstones had been damaged. It appears that no specific group or family was targeted in this incident. The cost of the damages remains undetermined at this time.

Deputies have arrested two juveniles in connection with the vandalism. Both individuals have been released to their parents while they await juvenile court proceedings.
