MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - The American Family Insurance Championship tournament is officially underway this Friday ! Thomas Bjørn and Darren Clark lead at the end of the first round at -12.

This Friday was the best ball and Saturday is the scramble.

Madison-native and tournament host Steve Stricker is golfing with his brother-in-law Mario Tiziani, and the pair shot -7, tied for ninth. The other Madison guy, Jerry Kelly, and partner Justin Leonard shot -6, tied for 18th.

Both Madisonians said, so far, the course is in great shape.

“The course is in great condition, but you have to play while going around her,” Sticker said. “You have to hit it in the fairway, and if you don’t, I have two guys hitting it in the fairway, you put a lot of pressure on the other guy and that’s what I’m sure s
