UPDATE: A Summerville resident was arrested and charged with felony murder Friday afternoon after a physical altercation on Oak Street turned into a shooting.

Around 12:30pm, the Summerville Police Department arrived at the scene to find Christopher "DJ" Chapman, 27, in the roadway, unresponsive with a gunshot wound. Chapman was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Back at the scene of the crime, investigators determined that the shooter was 24-year-old Deoveon Price, who had left the scene in his car.

Police say Price was found not long after being identified as the shooter, although he was driving a different car on Taylors Ridge when he was taken into custody.

The investigation revealed that Price and Chapman had been involved in a "physical altercation"
