ESSEX, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) - People of all ages will be able to raise money for kids this weekend in a fun event that tackles a difficult subject.

Big Beautiful Life is a non-profit in Essex, Vermont offering support to children with chronic medical conditions. It was inspired by Addi Carroll, a local child with a previously unknown medical condition who passed away at the age of 12 in June of 2022. Addi enjoyed spending time around firefighters and fire trucks, and Essex's town Fire Department recognized her as an honorary firefighter, even naming a truck after her.

The events on Sunday, held at and around Essex Middle School, will center on a 5k "run, walk, and roll" with all ages welcome to participate and a shorter 1.2k event. Also at the event will be face painting, sweet treats inclu
