BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A 19-year-old man who told police he was high on methamphetamine when he threw rocks at a vehicle in the drive-thru lane of a McDonald's, injuring the driver, has pleaded no contest to a felony assault charge.
Quitin Tae Flight on Thursday pleaded no contest to assault with a deadly weapon and is scheduled to be sentenced next month, court records show.
Prosecutors say he'll receive 16 months in custody and be ordered to pay restitution.
The incident occurred May 21 at the McDonald's at 2310 F St.
The driver, who was in a company pickup, told police he was approached by a man later identified as Flight, who cursed and made gestures as if he was holding a gun.
Flight picked up two softball-sized rocks and threw them at the driver's side window, shattering
