PROVIDENCE — Erin O'Leary smacked a double to the wall in center field. Adriana Jeannenot found the right center-field gap soon after to score one run.

That was in the first inning. The tandem delivered again in the third frame and that was enough for the Chariho softball team to advance to the Division I state championship . O'Leary finished 4-for-4 with three doubles and a trio of runs scored and Jeannenot tossed a gem against Cranston West.

No. 3 Chariho rode the duo to a 6-1 win at a steamy Rhode Island College’s Dayna A. Bazar Softball Complex on Thursday in the D-I losers’-bracket finals. Chariho plays top-seeded La Salle for the state championship on Sunday.
