BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - With a threat for severe weather this weekend, crews with Alabama Power are on standby for power outages.
Teisha Wallace is a senior communications specialist with Alabama Power. She said their storm center is actively monitoring the system to see where crews may be needed based on route and severity.
“We take an all-hands-on-deck approach to getting the power back on after storms as safely and as quickly as possible. Our crews, our linemen, are prepared and ready to go,” said Wallace.
Alabama Power utilizes technology that restores power automatically, with the hope that some homeowners aren’t without power for an extended period of time.
“It can kinda isolate out wherever the outage is and work on that so the rest of the system stays online and the whole
