SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Organizers of two rallies in Sioux Falls say they want to honor veterans on the 81st anniversary of D-Day and pay tribute to veterans.
Many of our neighbors, friends, and family like to hear the appreciation for serving their country.
“I think it comes very naturally in the Midwest for all of us to thank a soldier,” a supporter named Jeni said.
On Friday night, you can show support near the corner of 12th Street and Kiwanis Avenue until 7:00 p.m.
“The USS South Dakota battleship memorial. Food drive to support the local chapter of the Disabled American Veterans. I wasn’t even aware the DAV has an emergency fund,” Jeni said.
On Saturday at 1:00 p.m., another rally will happen outside the Federal Building on Phillips Avenue.
