MOUNTAIN VIEW, Ark. (KATV) — The Stone County Sheriff's Office has confirmed that Hardin was taken into custody by Izard County authorities after being located just a short distance from the North Central Unit in Calico Rock, where he initially escaped from.

Mountain View Police Department confirmed the capture by Izard County on their Facebook post.

The Department of Corrections released photos of Hardin moments after he was captured:

It is said that Hardin's scent was picked up by tracking dogs, leading to the location where he was eventually found.
