WEST FARGO, N.D. — In just one day, local kids turned imagination into performance as part of Stage West’s “Play in a Day” camp, held Friday, June 6.
Young participants spent the entire day writing, rehearsing, and staging an original play titled "Skippy Jon Jones, Lost in Spice" — a creative take inspired by the children's book "Skippyjon Jones, Lost in Space."
The fast-paced camp teaches teamwork, creativity and confidence, as kids collaborate with peers and teachers to bring their story to life by day’s end.
“It kind of brings out the child in me,” said Paul Larson, a teacher with the program. “They’re a little shy to begin with, but once they get to know each other and the teachers, they really start to open up and have fun.”
