Hugh Bonneville returns for a second round of The Gold as the hunt continues for those involved in one of the biggest robberies in British history.
The Gold is inspired by the true story and theories of the 1983 Brink’s-Mat robbery, which saw the theft of £26 million worth of gold bullion and the decades-long chain of events which followed.
Neil Forsyth, the show’s creator, writer and executive producer, said: “This series follows the second half of the Brink’s-Mat gold and it’s also a story of the consequences faced by several of our key characters across the entire show.”
