Danny McCain, a familiar face at Lynchburg School Board meetings for nearly 30 years, has been barred from making any future public comments following a contentious meeting on Tuesday.
McCain has been a vocal advocate for addressing the achievement gap and disparities in disciplining white versus Black students in schools. During the public comment session, McCain exceeded his allotted five-minute speaking time, leading to a heated exchange with board members.
"We need to get everyone on board so that they can live a good life, and be able to get a job, and to raise their families and have the good side of life. And we aren't doing that," McCain said during his remark
