WABASHA, Minn. — The National Eagle Center is inviting the public to its Bald Eagle Celebration on June 21.
This event marks the first celebration since the Bald Eagle's official designation by Congress in December 2024 as the National Bird.
The festivities will feature a flag-raising ceremony by Wabasha’s American Legion Post #50 and VFW Post #4068, and free live eagle programs at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Riverfront Amphitheater.
Ed Hahn, Director of Advancement and Marketing Communications at the Center, emphasized the significance of the event, saying, "The Bald Eagle is iconic in American culture and here at the National Eagle Center we look forward to sharing and celebrating these majestic birds every day with our guests, but especially on Bald Eagle Day."
