LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Two people are in the hospital after a shooting in east Louisville Friday afternoon.

Louisville Metro Police (LMPD) responded to Suburban Hospital, located on Dutchmans Lane, around 4:15 p.m. after a man and a teen boy arrived at the hospital suffering from gunshot wounds.

Upon investigation, LMPD determined the shooting took place around the 8800 block of Hermitage Court.

It's unclear how the shooting occurred, however LMPD is asking anyone in the area of Hermitage and Bayberry who may have information to contact police.

The man was transported to the University of Louisville Hospital for treatment while the teen was taken to Norton Children's Hospital. Both victims are expected to survive their injuries.
