TAMPA — It could feel like the end of an era: After more than three decades off West Kennedy Boulevard, iconic fine dining restaurant Mise en Place will leave its current home at the end of the year.
But the dining destination isn’t going far: The restaurant, which in September will celebrate its 39th year in business, will relocate to a new home in Ybor. It’s the third, and arguably most ambitious, move of its tenure in the city.
“We’ve always been explorers,” said Maryann Ferenc, who together with chef Marty Blitz opened the lauded fine dining spot on a stretch of West Platt Street in 1986. “Our intention is to go and inspire other people to join us,” she said.
