‘The Bold & The Beautiful’ Is Making a Big Change After 38 Years, Will Switch Filming Locations | CBS, Soap Operas, Television, The Bold and the Beautiful

A big change is coming to The Bold and the Beautiful , though viewers probably won’t notice too much of a difference.

After 38 years, the long-running CBS soap opera series will be switching filming locations.

The soap series has been filming at CBS’ Television City near The Grove in Los Angeles since the show began in 1987. A new home has been revealed!

The Bold and the Beautiful will begin filming at Sunset Las Palmas Studios in Los Angeles, just a few miles away, beginning on August 19. The show will go on a summer hiatus and resume filming at the new location.

Head writer and executive producer Bradley Phillip Bell said in a statement to Deadline , “It’s been an extraordinary 38 years at Television City, where we have produced over 9,600 episodes of The Bold and the Bea
