DENISON, Iowa (KCAU) — A federal judge has issued a temporary injunction to stop the Trump Administration from eliminating the Job Corps, a training program for low-income people.
This comes after a couple hundred students at the Denison Job Corps were told their facility was shutting down nearly a week ago.
Ryan Dunker has attended the Denison Job Corps for nearly a year, working on becoming a pharmacy technician, saying the program was a second chance for him and many others.
"One day out of the blue, one of my classmates walked up to me and, you know, told me, 'Hey, your Job Corps is getting shut down.' And I'm like, 'Dude, what are you talking about?
