GREENBELT, Md. (DC News Now) -- A man is facing up to life in prison after pleading guilty Friday to the armed robbery of a Clinton convenience store, according to the United States Attorney's Office (USAO) for the District of Maryland.
Zebedee Alexander Johnson, 35, of Clinton, Maryland, pleaded guilty to an armed robbery charge in addition to violating the terms of his supervised release.
According to court documents, on April 29, 2022, Johnson and four co-conspirators went to a convenience store, pointed a gun at an employee, and ordered him to lie down while they used a circular saw to break open the ATM. The five then proceeded to take approximately $35,020 from the ATM trays.
Court documents state that Johnson was on federal supervised release at the time of the armed robbery for
