On June 16, many of Pittsburgh’s communities will be able to kick off the summer by splashing, swimming, and soaking up the sun at 16 of the city Department of Parks and Recreation’s 18 public pools.

Pools that will open are: Ream, Ammon, Banksville, Bloomfield, Highland Park, Jack Stack, Magee, McBride, Moore, Ormsby, Phillips, Riverview, Schenley, Sue Murray, West Penn, and Westwood.

Two pools will remain closed, as ongoing renovations continue at those sites.

Shuttered after 2021, Homewood will see its fourth summer without a public pool as renovations continue in Homewood Park. “The pool will reopen for summer 2026,” Andrea Ketzel, senior landscape architect for the city of Pittsburgh, wrote in an email.
