A church in Moon has asked a judge for permission to hold a weeklong festival on its property later this month — despite a court order banning such events — after a similar gathering last year sparked outrage from nearby residents.
Revival Today Church filed a motion late last month asking Allegheny County Common Pleas Judge Chelsa Wagner to modify a preliminary injunction barring the church from using a large outdoor tent on its Coraopolis Heights Road property for a festival from June 29 through July 6.
The request comes after Judge Wagner ordered the church to stop holding events in the tent until the church can come into compliance with local zoning ordinances and permits.
