COLUMBIA, S.C. — One person is dead and three others are hurt after an early morning shooting at a short-term rental near downtown Columbia.

Columbia police say they responded to a call just after 5 a.m. Friday at a home on the 2400 block of Lincoln Street, just off Chester Street. Investigators say the home was being used as an Airbnb and was occupied by around 8 to 10 'young adults.'

One man was pronounced dead at the scene. Two women and another man were taken to the hospital with injuries. Their conditions have not been released.

Police say the suspect drove away from the scene and remains at large. He is considered armed and dangerous.
