SCHRIEVER, La. — Two children have died after a serious crash involving a car and a semi-truck in Terrebonne Parish.

The crash claimed the lives of a 6-year-old and a 12-year-old.

According to Louisiana State Police, the crash happened just after 4 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, along LA Highway 311 near Fellowship Lane.

Investigators said Cherri Breaux was driving a 1999 Toyota Camry southbound when she attempted to make a left turn into a driveway and entered the path of a northbound 2023 Kenworth truck. The semi-truck struck the right side of the Camry.

None of the four occupants in the Camry were wearing seatbelts, including three juveniles. All were taken to hospitals for treatment, state police said.
