TOLEDO, Ohio — For seven agonizing days, the family of Anthony Mcqueen has been searching for answers.
The 36-year-old Navy veteran and father disappeared without a trace on May 31. On Thursday, his loved ones organized a search party at Ottawa Park in West Toledo — just blocks from his home — hoping to find clues that could lead them to him.
“Just tell him to come home,” said his mother, Robin Mcqueen. “We love him and we want him to come home.”
The search began with a prayer circle. Friends and family joined hands to ask for strength and guidance. But by day’s end, there were still no new leads.
Robin now wears her son’s dog tags around her neck. For the past week, she says, she’s been miserable.
“Not good,” she said. “Can’t eat, can’t sleep.”
