NASHVILLE, Ind. — Police in Brown County have arrested a man who they say battered a child at a McDonald's restaurant.

According to a release from the Nashville Police Department , on Friday, June 6, officers were called to the McDonald's located at 501 State Road 46 East on a report of an attempted child abduction.

When officers arrived, they found the suspect nearby. Police say the male suspect was taken into custody on preliminary charges of battery against a person less than 14 years old and criminal confinement.

The suspect taken to the Brown County Jail without further incident, according to police.
