LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Lakeshore Drive has multiple businesses that are standing in the projected pathway of the new I-10 bridge project.

The owners of these businesses never thought they would be forced to move. But as the new Calcasieu River bridge project moves onto its next stage of development, that’s exactly what is happening.

Restaurants like La Parrilla are wondering what to do next.

“It was just iffy...I don’t know...we’re...we don’t really know what to do...yeah but there’s always another path we can take in the future, but right now...it’s just we don’t know,” Yoana Estrada, manager of La Parilla, said.

La Parrilla, who rents the building they are in, says they haven’t been given the option to move across the interstate. And they have no plans to relocate to Lake Charles
