Nipomo athletics director Russ Edwards has returned as Nipomo's head football coach.

Edwards was the team's head coach from 2007-2014 after being a Nipomo coach for two years, and his 2014 squad won the CIF Southern Section Northwest Division championship. Edwards has been the Nipomo athletics director since 2014. He has coached high school football for more than 30 years, the last 20 at Nipomo.

Edwards replaces Stephen Field as Nipomo's head football coach. Field coached the Titans the last three seasons. Field's second Nipomo team made the 2023 CIF Central Section playoffs after the Titans were winless Field's first season.

Field was the 2023 Times All-Area Football Coach of the Year. His 2024 Nipomo squad won the Ocean League championship.
