SALT LAKE CITY – A teenager sustained serious injuries and had to be life-flighted after being involved in a crash on Friday.
Cpl. Luis Silva with the Utah Highway Patrol said the crash happened in Cedar City on state Route 56.
“(A) 17-year-old male driving a Ford Focus turning left to go eastbound on SR 56 mile post 54, pulled out in front of a Nissan Armada going westbound,” Silva said.
Silva said the teenager sustained serious injuries and he was life-flighted to a hospital. There was a driver and passenger in the Nissan Armada, and Silva added that those two people sustained minor injuries in the crash.
According to the UHP, the roadway where the crash occurred was closed off and is now reopened.
