WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) – New details have emerged in an accidental shooting at a southeast Wichita business that left a 4-year-old girl critically injured.

Court documents state that on April 11, 2025, Wichita police responded to the 2500 block of E. Harry to the report of a shooting. The calling party, 27-year-old Stephany Sorto, reported that she was inside her mother’s store when she heard a “pop” sound and found her niece with gunshot wounds.
