Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl and the Edmonton Oilers have already done something they didn’t manage in last year’s Stanley Cup final against the Florida Panthers: go ahead in the series.
Now the Oilers have a chance to sweep the first two games of the best-of-seven series at home before play shifts to Sunrise, Fla., next week.
Neither Edmonton nor the Panthers are making any lineup changes from Wednesday’s Game 1, which saw Draisaitl score a power-play winner in overtime to draw first blood in the series.
