PASS CHRISTIAN, Miss. (WLOX) - First responders got the VIP treatment at Mississippi’s first Buc-ee’s location Friday morning, as the iconic travel center welcomed them for an exclusive preview ahead of its official opening.

The event brought firefighters, police officers, and emergency personnel, along with their families, from across the state to the highly anticipated store in Harrison County.

“Today is really special,” said Buc-ee’s pit master Randy Pauly. “With these first responders here, getting the first look, getting the first tastes, getting the first smells — there’s nothing better than that.”

Guests were treated to all of Buc-ee’s signature offerings — brisket, beaver nuggets, and Mississippi-exclusive merchandise — all free of charge.
