LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Lexington Mayor Linda Gorton announces plans for this year’s Fourth of July festivities.

She says it will be bigger than ever before, and it includes five days of patriotic fun.

The Fourth of July fireworks show will once again launch from the R.J. Corman railyard that’s on the corner of Oliver Lewis Way and West Main Street.

You can start watching the big booms in the sky starting at 10 p.m.

During the week of the fourth, the city will host numerous events downtown, including a parade, a bluegrass 10,000 and Fun Run and a patriotic concert.
