AUBURN — For the first time ever, Auburn baseball is playing at Plainsman Park on Super Regional weekend.

The Tigers advanced to the second round of this year's NCAA Tournament after winning their regional last weekend, beating NC State, Stetson and Central Connecticut State to secure a best-of-three matchup with Coastal Carolina , the No. 9 seed in this year's field, which starts Friday. (8 p.m. CT, ESPN)

"Hopefully, those 10 weeks of SEC prepared us," Auburn coach Butch Thompson said Thursday. "I don't want us to change. We have an identity, this is who we are. I think the biggest mistake, No. 1, you could make is try to be somebody else or tailor your game too much. It's important to know your opponent, but at the same time, we can't go try to grab more this weekend."
