DANVILLE, Va. (WSET) — A judge denied bond for Tyleik Hanks, one of the suspects in a deadly shooting that occurred in Danville, during a hearing Friday morning. Hanks will remain in custody as new details emerge about the incident that took place Sunday night.

Prosecutors presented evidence suggesting the shooting was gang-related. They claimed video footage shows Hanks, along with Jay'shaun White and Juwan Baker, driving by a party on Carver Drive and firing into the crowd. In response, individuals at the scene reportedly shot back, hitting the car multiple times. Hanks was injured in the exchange, while White was killed. Several others sustained injuries.
