ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - An 18-year-old man was shot and killed in northwest Atlanta on Friday night, according to police.

Atlanta police said they responded to a person shot at a home on Fairlock Lane NW in the Fairburn Heights neighborhood around 5:43 p.m.

Officers reportedly found an unresponsive 18-year-old man with a gunshot wound. The victim, whose name hasn’t been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators are working to learn what led up to the shooting. Police have not announced if they’ve identified suspects.
