Summer heat is on the rise in Reno and surrounding valleys, with sunny skies and temperatures climbing into the mid-90s through early in next week.
While the metro area stays mostly dry, isolated thunderstorms could develop near the Sierra each afternoon, especially over the weekend, according to the National Weather Service in Reno.
