The San Rafael Pacifics sustained their first loss of the season on Thursday, falling 6-1 at home against the Dublin Leprechauns.

San Rafael (9-1 Pecos League) got on the board first with a run in the bottom of the first inning when Blake Diggle singled to score Kyle Guerra.

Dublin pitchers scattered 10 hits and had 11 strikeouts to keep the Pacifics’ offense in check for the rest of the game. The Leprechauns (6-5) scored three runs in the top of the fourth to take the lead then scored three more in the seventh for the final margin.

Fred Buckson and Jorge Rios had two hits apiece for San Rafael. Buckson raised his batting average for the season to .408.
