LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- Goodwill of Southern Nevada opened its third career center Thursday, available for people ages 16 to 25.

The career center is aimed at helping employ the valley’s youth.

“Anything from medical assistance to stagehands, welders, truck drivers, or there are kids that are just getting started,” Brian Stewart with Goodwill of Southern Nevada said. “We have a career coach from Goodwill that can guide them through their options and help them explore what the opportunities are.”

Career coaches are available by walk-in or appointment to help guide young people with any level of experience.

Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada CEO Michelle Jackson said that with the state's unemployment rate as the highest in the country, career centers like this one are critical.
