SWAN LAKE, Ark. (KATV) — Around 6:18 p.m. on June 6, the Metropolitan Emergency Communications Association (MECA) received a call reporting a crop duster had crashed in the area of Swan Lake Arkansas, leaving the pilot deceased.

Deputies with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office (JCSO), Ambulance Services, Arkansas State Police, and Fire Rescue were dispatched to the area to assist with the crash.

Upon arrival, deputies located both the deceased pilot and crashed aircraft. The pilot's identification is being withheld until the next of kin is notified.

The pilot was the only person on board, and no one was injured on the ground during the crash, according to a release.

The Federal Aviation Administration will be investigating this incident.
