BROOKLAWN - Gloucester Catholic junior Jude Morgan entered high school intent onbeing a catcher, but last season he decided to switch to the mound.
What he lacks in experience, he makes up for in both talent and his competitiveness, whichwas readily on display as top-seeded Gloucester Catholic beat No. 2-seed Bishop Eustace,5-1 in Friday's South Jersey Non-Public B championship.
Gloucester Catholic (23-3), the two-time defending state champion, will face Pope John(13-13) in Wednesday’s Non-Public state championship, 4 p.m. at Veterans Park inHamilton.
Morgan threw six shutout innings, allowing just three hits, against Bishop Eustace. The junior righthander is now 6-0 with a 0.32 ERA.
