JEFFERSON COUNTY, ARKANSAS, Ark — An investigation is now underway after an aircraft crash in Jefferson County left one person dead.

According to reports, at about 6:18 p.m. on June 6, officials received a call regarding a crop duster plane that had supposedly crashed in the area of Swan Lake, Arkansas.

Several agencies, including the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, Arkansas State Police, Ambulance Services, and fire rescue, were all called to the scene.

Once they arrived, they found the plane, and they also found the pilot who had unfortunately died.

No information has been released regarding the pilot's identity.

Officials also say that no one else was onboard the plane, and no injuries occurred to anyone on the ground.
