Bartenders at a Myrtle Beach bar got a huge surprise Friday when country music star Chris Young stopped by before his evening performance at the Carolina Country Music Festival .
And as a thank-you for their service, Young left a $2,000 tip on top of his $200 bill.
“It was a pleasant surprise,” said Shawn Conklin, a bartender at the 8th Avenue Tiki Bar and Grill , 708 N. Ocean Blvd. “It kind of made the night.”
Conklin said he didn’t serve Young but was there when the superstar came in. There were three bartenders working and all three will split the large tip.
