The Yankees’ seventh run in just two innings against the Red Sox might have come with a price.
Anthony Volpe was removed from Friday’s series opener in The Bronx before the start of the fourth inning after getting drilled in the left elbow in the second inning.
Volpe was sent for X-rays and a CT scan, the Yankees said, and results were not immediately known.
