ALLEN, Ky. (WYMT) -The third annual Noble William Petry Memorial Golf Tournament brought golfers to the green Friday, commemorating the fallen officer’s legacy on the links.

William Petry was killed in the Allen Ambush June 30, 2022, after spending his life devoted to service. From his time as a firefighter, to his years as a Kentucky State Police trooper and his post-retirement job as a deputy at the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office, the fallen hero was always dedicated to caring for community and children. He was also a devoted member of the Floyd County Shrine Club.
