PORTLAND, Ore. — Police have arrested a Gresham High School teacher and indicted him on child sex-related charges after an undercover online sting.

Last December, the Portland Police Bureau (PPB) was notified by the Bothell Police Department in Washington that a Portland man had been identified during an undercover sting operation.

During the operation, Bothell Police Detective Mike Garcia posed as a 13-year-old girl and chatted for four days with 36-year-old Oscar Armando Ramirez, who said he teaches 9th-11th graders. The chat included "lewd sexual conversations about acts that Ramirez wanted to do with her," with Ramirez agreeing to meet with her when her parents were not home, police said.
