CHESAPEAKE, Va. — A fire at a Chesapeake mobile home has displaced one person taken the lives of their three dogs.
The fire department said they were called to the 2600 block of Village Avenue in the Deep Creek section of the city around 7:23 p.m. Friday after they'd received multiple reports about the fire. When they arrived five minutes later, crews found the mobile home completely involved in fire.
The home, they said, was occupied by one adult and three dogs. At the time of the fire, the owner was not home, but the dogs were, and they did not survive.
The fire was marked under control at 7:40 p.m. and there were no injuries reported, apart from one adult who was checked on the scene.
