The boxing event Saturday at Scope in Norfolk will have all the makings of a major fight night, including ESPN cameras and commentators, flashy entrances, blaring music, ring girls and more.

But something will be missing in the ring: Keyshawn Davis.

The night’s main event was scheduled to be a triumphant homecoming for Davis, a Norfolk native and former Olympic silver medalist who won the World Boxing Organization lightweight championship in February. Instead, Davis failed to make weight Friday and his bout against Edwin De Los Santos was canceled.
