BELOIT, Wis. (WIFR) - After four years as chief, Andre Sayles says goodbye to his job with the Beloit Police Department.

Sayles, a 20-year veteran of the department, will leave the Midwest for Seattle, Washington, where he will serve as that city’s deputy police chief.

“More than half of my adult life has been here and just seeing myself from a young cop to the chief of police - you know you go through everything you’ve seen to everything I’ve done here,” Sayles said.

Sayles holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Iowa Wesleyan University and pursued a master’s degree in criminal justice, with an emphasis on police leadership.
